Adding Columns to a Kanban Board

Modified on Sat, 8 Oct, 2022 at 5:59 PM

The columns in Kanban boards in Projectal are defined by the stages in your projects.  Task stages are the stages or gates that your tasks will move through within the workflow of a project.  For example, the various task stages for a project may be defined as Ready -> In Progress -> Client Review -> Client Sign-off -> Completed.

To add or maintain the task stages in a project in Projectal, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Management screen by clicking Management on the left sidebar.
  2. Click the Projects button to display the Projects screen.
  3. Select a project and click the Edit button on the Projects screen toolbar.
  4. This will display the Edit Project screen.
  5. On the Edit Project screen, locate the Task Stages section.  You can add, remove and order the task stages for the project.
  6. The task stages that you define here will become the columns in the project's Kanban board.

Tip: The order of the stages in the Edit Project screen is important since this order is the order of the columns in the project's Kanban board.
