Click the Grouping menu on the Resource Planner toolbar to group by the following:
- Company
- Location
- Department
- Skill
- Staff
- Generic Staff
Company
Click Company on the Grouping menu to group your resources into the companies that they belong to. The list of companies are determined based on the staff and their assigned resources.
Example: Your company may be a group company and have subsidiaries. This grouping lets you see your resources in those subsidiary companies.
Example: You may complete projects with partner companies. This grouping lets you see resources in your company separately from the staff in your partner companies.
Location
Click Location on the Grouping menu to group your resources into the locations that they are associated with. The list of locations are determined based on the staff and their assigned resources. This lets you see your resources across your various offices around the world.
Example: Your company may have offices in Los Angeles, Vancouver and London. This grouping lets you see your resources in each office location.
Department
Click Department on the Grouping menu to group all your resources into their departments. The list of departments are determined based on the staff and their assigned resources. This lets you quickly see each department and the resources used within each department.
Example: Your company has 15 departments and resources are associated with these departments. This grouping lets you see the list of departments with the resources under each department.
Skill
Click Skill on the Grouping menu to group all your resources by their skills. The list of skills are determined based on the staff and their assigned resources. This lets you quickly see each skill and the associated resources.
Example: Your staff have 32 different skill types and each staff has one or many of them. This grouping lists all the skills and the resources are associated with those skills.
Staff
Click Staff to hide or show staff in the Resource Planner. This will show any staff under a resource that has that resource assigned to them.
Generic Staff
Click Generic Staff to hide or show generic staff in the Resource Planner. This will show any generic staff under a resource that has that resource assigned to them.
