Setting the Timescale

When using the Resource Planner, you can view planning data using your preferred timescale. Projectal supports the following timescales:

• Hour
• Day
• Week
• Month
• Year

Timescales let you zoom in or out of date ranges so you can see your bookings, tasks and activities at any level.

Example: You book resources on short tasks, typically 15-30 minutes, so the Hour timescale make most sense to be able to see all these short timeframe tasks.

Example: You book resources on tasks that span weeks, so the Week or Month timescale makes most sense to see all these tasks.

To easily extend the current date range, click the Scroll to an earlier date button or Scroll to a later date button, and it will extend the date range using the current timescale (e.g. by 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, etc.).
