Using Quick Search to Find Resources

Modified on Tue, 31 Oct 2023 at 06:06 PM

In addition to using filters, you can use Quick Search to quickly find resources with fields that contain that text.

Click on the Quick Search icon on the Resource Planner bar and enter text into the search edit box.  Resource Planner will instantly start filtering the list of resource as you type in the text.

Resource Planner will search for matching text in the resource's name, description, tags, department, company, location and more.

Example: Type in "camera" to list all resources that have the 'camera' tag.

Example: Type in "vancouver" to list all the resources that are associated with the Vancouver office.

You can also comma (,) separate search terms and Projectal will find all resources using either search term.

Example: To list only the resources named camera or lighting, you could search for "camera, lighting".  All resources that have either "camera" or "lighting" in their names will be listed.

You can also use the plus sign (+) to force inclusive searches so that all terms must be in a resource to be listed.

Example: To list all resources named camera in the Vancouver location, then you could search for "camera+vancouver". All resources named camera and that are in the Vancouver location will be listed.
