Changing the Duration for a Non-Work Exception

To change the duration for a non-work exception, follow these steps:


  1. Click on Planner on the left sidebar and select Staff Planner.
  2. Select a non-work exception that you wish to change and drag the small gripper icon at the start or end of the non-work exception to adjust the start date or finish date of the non-work exception.
  3. The non-work exception will be automatically updated with the new start date and finish date.


Tip: The tooltip is updated as you resize the non-work exception so you can see the start date and finish date of the non-work exception.


Tip: Whilst resizing a non-work exception's duration with your mouse, the start date and finish date will be blocked to the cell's boundary (either day, week, month or year).  If you wish to have more finer control and choose the exact day or time for your non-work exception, then hold down the SHIFT key whilst dragging and the blocking is turned off so you can choose your preferred day or time within a cell. 


Tip: You can also change the duration of exceptions for staff by using the Edit Staff screen.
