Managing Non-Work Exceptions

In Projectal, you can add, edit or delete non-work exceptions in several ways:

  • Using the Edit Staff screen
  • Using the Staff Planner screen
  • Syncing with HR tools


Getting to the Edit Staff screen

  1. Go to the Management screen by clicking Management on the left sidebar.
  2. Click the Staff button to display the Staff screen.
  3. The Staff screen has 3 tabs - List, Org Chart and Generic.
  4. Select the staff from your staff pool and click the Edit button on the Staff screen toolbar.
  5. On the Edit Staff screen, scroll down and click the Calendar button to view and edit non-work exceptions for the staff. 


 


Getting to the Staff Planner screen

  1. Go to the Staff Planner screen by clicking Planner on the left sidebar.
  2. Click the Staff Planner on the left sidebar to display the Staff Planner screen.



Syncing with Human Resources (HR) tools


If your company uses a HR tool and it already contains your staff details (including their non-work exceptions), then it may be best for Projectal to automatically sync the staff details from your HR tool.  This eliminates double entry and keeps Projectal up-to-date whenever changes are made in your HR tool.


Using the Projectal API, webhooks and Python library, connectors can be created to sync HR data from popular HR tools into Projectal.  Contact the Projectal Support team to inquire about their library of pre-built connectors that are available to you as a Projectal customer - including BambooHR, Xero and more.  Or, the Projectal Support team can assist to get you up and running with a new connector for your HR tool.
