You can create data views just for yourself, or you can share data views with selected Projectal users, or you can share data views with all Projectal users in your company.
This gives you great flexibility to:
- Have a set of data views that are private for yourself.
- Have a set of data views that you are collaborating with other team members in your department.
- Have a set of data views that are the standard set for your company so that everyone is looking at the same data when making decisions.
To configure the sharing permissions for a data view, you need to edit the data view. To edit a data view, follow these steps:
- Locate the data view in the left sidebar and click on the "..." overflow menu to display the popup menu. Click the Edit Data View menu item.
- Or, click on the data view in the left sidebar to open it and then click on the "..." overflow menu on the right side of the data view to display the popup menu. Click the Edit Data View menu item.
Sharing
Click Public to have this data view listed for all users in your company. This data view will be listed under Public Data Views on the left sidebar.
Click Private to have this data view listed for only those users that are allowed to see it (e.g. yourself). Click the Members button under Sharing to edit the list of users allowed to see this data view. This data view will be listed under Data Views on the left sidebar.
Editing Permissions
By default, when you create a data view, you are the owner of the data view and only you can edit it. You may want to collaborate with other users on a data view and allow them to also make changes to the data view.
Click the Members button to edit the users who are allowed to edit and make changes to this data view.
