Creating Project Specific Data Views

Data views can be accessed from the left sidebar, the home dashboard and from project dashboards.

When adding data views as widgets to project dashboards, you may want the data view widget to only show results about a project.

Example: You may want to have a data view widget on your project dashboards that lists a breakdown of the departments working on the project.

Example: You may want to have a data view widget on your project dashboards that lists all unfinished tasks, together with their progress, ETC and status.

You can create project specific data views using the Match to current project checkbox on the Edit Data View screen.

When this checkbox is selected, then the data view will only show results for that project when the data view is added as a data view widget to a project dashboard.

Note: Whether this checkobox is selected or not, the data view will always show all results for all projects when accessing the data view from the left sidebar or home dashboard.  This checkbox only filters the results for a project when a data view is accessed from a project dashboard.
