Logging into another User Account

There are certain times when System Administrators of your Projectal at your company may want to log into a user's Projectal account to do the following administrative actions:

  • View the user's permissions on screens and data after setting their access policy or permissions.
  • Assign ownership of the user's data views to another user account.
  • Assign ownership of the users's user views to another user account.
  • Make changes to projects, tasks, etc. using the user's account.


Projectal allows users to log into another user account, provided they have permission to do so.


Note: Only users that have the "Alias As Other Users" permission enabled can log into other user accounts.  Contact your System Administrator to check your permissions.


To log into another user account, follow these steps:


  1. Log into Projectal using your user account.
  2. Go to the Management screen and click on the Users button to display the Users screen.
  3. On the Users screen, locate the user account you wish to log into and select it.
  4. On the Users screen toolbar, click the LogIn As User toolbar button.
  5. You will be automatically switched to using this user account.in Projectal.  The access policy and permissions of this user account will be applied.
  6. When you have finished using this user account, logout of the user account.  You can now log back into Projectal using your user account.
