Adding a Task Template

To add a task template into Projectal, follow these steps:


  1. Go to the Management screen by clicking Management on the left sidebar.
  2. Click the Task Templates button to display the Task Templates screen.
  3. Click the Add button on the Task templates screen toolbar.
  4. This will display the New Task Template screen.



Name

Enter the name of the task template.


ID

Enter an optional identifier of the task template.  It could be the short code for the task template.


Description

Enter a description for the task template.


Tags

Select tags or type in tags to help categorize or classify the task template.   There are two ways to add tags:

  • Click the Add Tag button to display the Tags screen.  Select tags from your existing collection of tags and they will be associated with the task template.
  • Or, click inside the Tags editor and a new empty tag will be displayed.  Type in the name of the tag you want and press Enter to save the new tag. As you type your tag name, a list of existing tags that partially match the typed text will be displayed and you can choose one of them for faster tag entry.


Color

Click the color swatch to set or clear the color for the task template.  The color can used in other screens to highlight items by task template.



Note: After saving the new task template, then you can add the task information into it.  You can do this via the Edit Task Task Template screen.
