Editing a Task Template

To edit a task template into Projectal, follow these steps:


  1. Go to the Management screen by clicking Management on the left sidebar.
  2. Click the Task Templates button to display the Task Templates screen.
  3. Click the Edit button on the Task templates screen toolbar.
  4. This will display the Edit Task Template screen.




Lock

Turn on the Lock switch to stop any editing by users.  Turn off the Lock switch to allow editing by users.


Name

Enter the name of the task template.


ID

Enter an optional identifier of the task template.  It could be the short code for the task template.


Description

Enter a description for the task template.


Tags

Select tags or type in tags to help categorize or classify the task template.   There are two ways to add tags:

  • Click the Add Tag button to display the Tags screen.  Select tags from your existing collection of tags and they will be associated with the task template.
  • Or, click inside the Tags editor and a new empty tag will be displayed.  Type in the name of the tag you want and press Enter to save the new tag. As you type your tag name, a list of existing tags that partially match the typed text will be displayed and you can choose one of them for faster tag entry.


Color

Click the color swatch to set or clear the color for the task template.  The color can used in other screens to highlight items by task template.


Notes

Click the Add Note button to add a note about the task template.  You can add as many notes as you like.  They are listed chronologically.


Edit Tasks

Click the Edit Tasks button to edit the tasks for the task template.
