What are Timelogs in Projectal?

Modified on Tue, 24 Mar at 4:03 PM

A timelog is a chronological record of how time is spent as your staff complete tasks and activities within your company. A timelog contains a name, start date, finish date, duration, status and optional attributes such as description, notes, color and ID.

Timelogs are used to measure the actual duration and actual costs of work completed on a project as compared to the original bid, ongoing budget or estimated costs.

Timelogs can be entered directly into Projectal for your tasks and activities.

Timelogs can also be automatically synced into Projectal from a wide variety of tools such as shot tracking tools (Flow/ShotGrid, ftrack, Kitsu, etc.), timesheet tools, payroll tools and more.

As timelogs are entered into Projectal, the Actual Duration for tasks, activities, summary tasks and projects is automatically tallied up so you have a full understanding of the total work effort and total actual costs at all levels of your projects, departments, locations and more.
