Creating a Team-based Staff Usage screen

Modified on Tue, 27 Sep, 2022 at 9:37 AM

In Projectal, you can create Staff Usage screens for your teams so that you can view your staff pool in many ways- such as:

  • Department-based Staff Usage screens
  • Location-based Staff Usage screens
  • Company-based Staff Usage screens
  • Skills-based Staff usage screens
  • And more.

To create a team-based Staff Usage screen, you simply need to create a data view that lists all the projects, tasks or staff that you are interested in.

Example: By creating a data view that listed all staff in the Aimation department, then the Animation department would have a team-based Staff Usage screen that they could use to view the current staffing load and future load of the Animation department across all current and upcoming projects in the company.

After creating the data view that lists the project, tasks or staff, the data view will automatically have a Staff Usage tab on the data view.  You can click on the Staff Usage tab to view the staff allocations across your preferred data range (e.g. this year).

A data view's Staff Usage screen is fully interactive and lets you plan, schedule and track how staff are being assigned to tasks and projects.
