To add a company into Projectal, follow these steps:
- Go to the Management screen by clicking Management on the left sidebar.
- Click the Companies button to display the Companies screen.
- Click the Add button on the Companies screen toolbar.
- This will display the New Company screen.
Company Avatar
Click the Pencil icon to add or change the company avatar (or logo). This will display the Files screen and allow you to select a file that you have uploaded into Projectal.
Click the Delete icon to remove the company avatar.
Company Banner
Click the Pencil icon to add or change the company banner. This will display the Files screen and allow you to select a file that you have uploaded into Projectal.
Click the Delete icon to remove the company banner.
Parent Company
Click the Select button to display the Parent Companies screen. This will let you select a company to designate the parent company of the company that you are adding.
Note: The primary company is always at the top and does not have a parent company.
Click the Remove button to remove the selected parent company and return the parent company back to the primary company.
Name
Enter the name of the company.
ID
Enter an optional identifier of the company. It could be the short code for the company.
Type
Select the type of company has in relationship to its parent company. It may be a subsidiary, contractor, partner, affiliate or office of the parent company.
Tip: You can change the names and number of company types to match the way your company works using the Lists screen.
Color
Click the color swatch to set or clear the color for the company. The color can used in other screens to highlight items by company.
Location
Click the Add Location button to display the Locations screen. Select a location of the company to designate its location and working calendar.
Tags
Select tags or type in tags to help categorize or classify the company. There are two ways to add tags:
- Click the Add Tag button to display the Tags screen. Select tags from your existing collection of tags and they will be associated with the company.
- Or, click inside the Tags editor and a new empty tag will be displayed. Type in the name of the tag you want and press Enter to save the new tag. As you type your tag name, a list of existing tags that partially match the typed text will be displayed and you can choose one of them for faster tag entry.
