Setting the Date Format in Projectal

Modified on Tue, 20 Aug at 11:03 AM

The date format that Projectal displays is determined by the language setting in your web browser (for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc.) or the language settings for your device's operating system (for Safari).

Tip: For dd/mm/yyyy date format, choose the English United Kingdom or en-GB language in your settings.

Tip: For mm/dd/yyyy date format, choose the English United States or en-US language in your settings.

Firefox, Chrome & Edge

Go to the Settings screen in your web browser and search for the Language section. In the Language section, you will see the current language being used when displaying web pages. This determines the date format displayed in Projectal. Add the language you wish to use. For example, for the dd/mm/yyyy date format, then you should have the English United Kingdom or en-GB language listed as the first language. Make sure your preferred language is listed at the top of the list of selected languages.

Important: After setting the language in your web browser, you must close your web browser and then start it again.  This makes sure the date format is applied.  Now, when you next use Projectal, it will use the date format for the selected language that you have set.

Safari

On MacOS, open System Settings (or System Preferences on earlier versions) and then go into the Language & Region section.

On iPadOS or iOS, open Settings, General and then go into the Language & Region section.

Add your preferred language (e.g. English UK) to the preferred language list. Make sure the language is at the top of the list.

Important: You will have to restart your Apple device for the change to take effect.
