Using Project Bookings when Assigning Staff To Tasks

Modified on Fri, 09 Jun 2023 at 04:10 PM

After you have booked staff onto projects, you may want to restrict task assignments to be from the pool of staff that have been booked onto the project.

Example: The company has a pool of 25 animators in their animation department. Only John, Mary and Sally from the animation department have been booked (or penciled in) to an upcoming project. As animation tasks are being added to this project, the company does not want other animators to be assigned to these animation tasks. It only wants the booked staff (John, Mary and Sally) to be the possible candidates for the animation tasks.

When assigning staff to tasks in a project, the Staff screen will be displayed for you to choose staff to assign to the task.

Click the Use Project Bookings switch to restrict the list of staff to only those that have been booked onto the project.
