Managing Tags

The Tags screen is where you can add, edit, duplicate, merge, remove, import and export tags in Projectal.


Getting to the Tags screen

  1. Go to the Management screen by clicking Management on the left sidebar.
  2. Click the Tags button to display the Tags screen.

The Tags screen toolbar has the following buttons:

  • Add - to add a new tag
  • Edit - to edit the selected tag
  • Delete - to delete the selected tags
  • Duplicate - to make a copy of the selected tag
  • Merge - to merge two tags together
  • Import - to import a list of tags from a spreadsheet or PDF file
  • Export - to export the list of tags to an Excel spreadsheet (XLS) file
  • Quick Search - to search and filter the list of tags using some text
  • Filter - to search and filter the list of tags using fields
  • User Views - to save and recall your favorite user views on this screen


Editing Tags


Double-click on a cell to edit a value for the tag.


Select a cell and copy (Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) the values into another cell. 


Select a cell and drag the right side corner of the cell to fill down  the value into other cells.


Select a cell and press the DEL key to delete the value from the cell.


Tip: Enter text into the Filter edit box and click the Search button to find specific tags.


Tip: Click on the Options menu in the column headers to choose which columns you wish to hide or show in the list. 


Tip: Click on a column header to sort the list ascending or descending.
