To add a launchpad to dashboard, follow these steps:

  1. On your dashboard, click the Edit Dashboard button in the top right corner of your dashboard.  This will display the Dashboard Settings screen.
  2. On the Dashboard Settings screen, go to the Launchpads tab.
  3. Click the Add button to display the New Launchpad screen.

Launchpad Avatar

Click the Pencil icon to add or change the launchpad's avatar (or logo).  This will display the Files screen and allow you to select a file that you have uploaded into Projectal.

Click the Delete icon to remove the launchpad's avatar.

Name

Enter the display name of the launchpad.

Example: For a launchpad that launches Slack, the name may be "Slack".

Description

Enter an (optional) description for the launchpad.

Example: For a launchpad that launches Slack for the company Ninety Pixels, the optional description may be "Click to open the Slack channel for Ninety Pixels".

Actions

Enter a URL that will be navigated to.

Enter the text in Button Text that will appear on the button in the launchpad.

Example: To launch Slack for the company Ninety Pixels, the URL entered may be "https://ninetypixels.slack.com" and the button text entered may be "Launch Slack".

Click the Add button to add another action button.

Click the Delete button to delete an action button.

Tip: After creating a new widget, then make sure you select the widget in the Dashboard Settings screen and click the Show On Dashboard button. This will show the widget on your dashboard.

Tip: The widget will be placed in the first available space on your dashboard. If you wish to move it to another location on your dashboard or resize it, then unlock your dashboard so you can move and resize all your dashboard widgets.
