To add a file into Projectal, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Management screen by clicking Management on the left sidebar.
  2. Click the Files button to display the Files screen.
  3. Click the Upload File button on the Files screen toolbar.
  4. This will display a File Section window so you can select a file from your local computer to upload.  Once selected, the File Details screen is displayed.

Parent Folder

Click the Select button to choose the folder to store the file into.  By default, the current folder is selected.

Name

Enter the name of the file.

ID

Enter an optional identifier of the file.  It could be the short code for your file assets.

Description

Enter a description for the file.

Tags

Select tags or type in tags to help categorize or classify the file.   There are two ways to add tags:

  • Click the Add Tag button to display the Tags screen.  Select tags from your existing collection of tags and they will be associated with the file.
  • Or, click inside the Tags editor and a new empty tag will be displayed.  Type in the name of the tag you want and press Enter to save the new tag. As you type your tag name, a list of existing tags that partially match the typed text will be displayed and you can choose one of them for faster tag entry.

Color

Click the color swatch to set or clear the color for the file.  The color can used in other screens to highlight items by file.

File

Click the file to select another file from your local computer to upload.
