Viewing a Flat List of Tasks

There may be times that you wish to view the list of tasks in a project as a flat list of tasks, rather than the default behavior of showing the tasks with their full parent hierarchy.

Example: You wish to search for all 'animation' tasks and you want to see a compact view of them since there may be many thousands of these tasks.  The flat list of tasks will show just the 'animation' tasks and not show the full parent hierarchy of the tasks.

To show the flat list of tasks in the Tasks screen or Gantt screen, click the Flat Task List button the toolbar in the Task screen or Gantt screen.

To show the full parent hierarchy of tasks in the Tasks screen or Gantt screen, click the Tree Task List button the toolbar in the Task screen or Gantt screen.
